Acadia Facet Replacement System Study
Physicians Kevin Rahn, MD (PI); Robert Shugart, MD; and Mike Arata, MD are participating in a nationwide study of the Acadia Facet Replacement System, an investigational procedure that may relieve leg and back pain as well as restore motion and stability to the lower spine. The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of the system in patients with lateral, lateral recess and/or central stenosis at L3 to S1.
Endoscopic Laser Disc Decompression Study
Status: Currently Enrolling
Robert Shugart, MD (PI); Kevin Rahn, MD; and Christopher Belschner, PAC, are participating in a research study of the Holmium: Yttrium-Aluminum-Garnet (Ho: YAG) laser, a device that is used to reduce the size of the disc to help relieve the patient?s pain. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of laser use in patients with a contained herniated disc at no more than two levels of the lumbar spine.
