Education

Joint Camp
Patients undergoing total joint replacements have greatly benefited from attending Joint Camp. Taught by orthopedic nurses, Joint Camp, which takes place every Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m., is a free service designed to educate patients about what to expect before, during and after their procedures. In addition, patients attend breakout sessions in which they meet with an anesthesiologist, nurse practitioner, pharmacist, physical therapist and a social services representative.
